Equipping young people in the UK and Brazil with AI-driven decision tools, circular economy knowledge and green entrepreneurship pathways.
CES Skills is a 9.5-month international collaboration funded by the British Council's Climate Skills Global Collaboration Grants 2026, delivered in partnership with HSBC. We bring together researchers, educators and practitioners from Leeds Beckett University and partner institutions in Brazil.
Our programme equips young people aged 18–30 with the tools, knowledge and networks they need to participate meaningfully in the circular economy — across both countries and beyond.
Participants apply AI and data analytics to real-world sustainability challenges, building decision-making literacy for the green economy.
Grounded in current circular economy frameworks, participants explore resource efficiency, regenerative business models and systems thinking.
From ideation to pitching, participants develop green ventures with mentorship from practitioners and academics across both countries.
An international team spanning Leeds Beckett University, UFOPA and FOQS — bringing together academic expertise, community knowledge and practitioner experience across the UK and Brazil.
